Purpose

This activity is designed to change competence and performance in practice by examining protocols for physicians and other healthcare professionals to appropriately care for patients treated with controlled substances and to implement recommendations from the Tennessee Department of Health initiatives on opioid use.

2. Identify signs of substance addiction and substance dependence.
